Project Groups
When you manage many repositories, the sidebar can get crowded. Project Groups let you organize projects into named, collapsible sections so you can focus on what matters.
Creating a Group
Section titled “Creating a Group”Click the Group button (folder icon) in the sidebar header. An inline text input appears — type a name and press Enter. The new group appears below any ungrouped projects.
Moving Projects into Groups
Section titled “Moving Projects into Groups”There are two ways to move a project into a group:
- Drag and drop — Drag a project onto a group header. The project moves into that group at the top of its list.
- Context menu — Right-click any project, select Move to, then choose a group name.
To remove a project from a group, right-click it and select Remove from group. The project moves to the ungrouped section below all groups.
Managing Groups
Section titled “Managing Groups”Hover over a group header to reveal its action buttons:
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| Rename | Click the pencil icon. Edit inline, press Enter to confirm. |
| Delete | Click the trash icon. Projects in the group become ungrouped — nothing is lost. |
| Reorder | Click the up/down arrow buttons to move the group higher or lower in the list. |
| Collapse/Expand | Click anywhere on the group header. Collapsed groups show a pill with the project count. |
Sidebar Layout
Section titled “Sidebar Layout”The sidebar renders in this order:
- Groups — each with its own collapsible section containing its projects
- Ungrouped projects — listed below all groups
Within each group (and among ungrouped projects), projects are ordered by their explicit position, which you can change by dragging.
Deleting a Group
Section titled “Deleting a Group”When you delete a group, a confirmation dialog shows the group name and the number of affected projects. The projects become ungrouped — no projects or data are deleted, only the group container is removed.
